L-carnitine tartrate: is the form of carnitine that mainly has to do with transferring information about metabolism and fat burning. It improves the ratio of fat and muscle in the body. Protects the heart and reduces the heart rate in situations of intense stress.
*Leptin and ghrelin are two hormones that have been identified as having a significant effect on weight fluctuation. Leptin is produced in the body’s fat cells and, acting on the hypothalamus, helps to suppress appetite. Ghrelin is secreted by the digestive tract, acts on the hypothalamus, but has the opposite effect to leptin, i.e. it helps to increase appetite. By the action of these two hormones in the hypothalamus, the levels of appetite and the amount of hunger a person experiences are affected.
*Adiponectin is a hormone involved in the regulation of glucose levels, as well as in the catabolism of fatty acids. This hormone is secreted by adipose tissue into the bloodstream. Blood levels of the hormone are largely related to the percentage of body fat in adult individuals.
