Modern lifestyle and especially the long hours of screen time has led to a rapid increase in the incidence of dry eye disease. Dry eye disease is a multifactorial disease of the ocular surface which includes blepharitis, meibomianitis and chalazion. Essentially, long hours spent in front of a computer or a screen in general accelerate the process of evaporation of the outer/lipid layer of the eye and lead to a dysfunction of the meibomian gland, which secretes this layer. In addition, dry eye is a symptom of other diseases such as Sjogren’s syndrome. What all of the above have in common is the imbalance in the tear layer which is characterised by inflammation and accompanied by ocular symptoms. Eyeaspis DE-Caps is a specially formulated formulation that treats dry eye and decongests the meibomian gland. Eyeaspis DE-Caps has proven anti-inflammatory activity and provides the raw material in fatty acids to the meibomian gland to produce the right quality and quantity of the lipid layer (meibum).
Key components of the lipid layer with a strong anti-inflammatory effect are omega-3 fatty acids such as eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA), which is an essential fatty acid for the functioning of the body and which the body is unable to synthesise on its own.

Eyeaspis DE-Caps has a strong anti-inflammatory action with the main ingredient EPA in a re-sterilized triglyceride form and a strong antioxidant action due to the maqui berry extract (35% delphinidins).
